These self-adhesive compression bandages are short stretch – which means that they only have approximately 60% extensibility (versus up to 140% extensibility for medium stretch and long stretch compression bandages). Often used in compression bandaging for lymphedema, the “short stretch” capacity of the adhesive bandages assures that they’ll provide both working pressure and resting pressure.

The cotton content of the adhesive bandages makes them permeable to air and water vapor, which means that there will be good ventilation, even when the bandage layers overlap./p>

Foams and padding can be used in conjunction with the short stretch adhesive compression bandages in order to cushion the skin, evenly distribute the compressive pressure, and create targeted pressure points.
